The Igneus Classico is a wood-fired oven for families and groups who are tired of baking one small pizza at a time. Its 60 x 60 cm cooking floor takes two 12 inch pizzas side by side, and it burns kiln-dried hardwood logs. It sits between portable pizza ovens and heavy masonry ovens: big enough to feed a crowd, but still movable once the firebricks are out.

In its favour
- The 60 x 60 cm floor fits two 12 inch pizzas, or one large pizza with room to turn it.
- Igneus states 500°C after 15 to 20 minutes on kiln-dried hardwood logs.
- Firebricks lift out to bring the weight from 45 kg to 20 kg for moving it.
Good to know
- At 45 kg with bricks it needs a strong table or stand.
- Wood logs need more tending than a gas dial, and ash to clear afterwards.
Our take
Capacity and heat
Igneus states the Classico cooks two 12 inch pizzas in about 60 seconds and reaches up to 500°C. Heat-up is given as 15 to 20 minutes, which is quick for a log-fired oven of this size.
The listing also names roast meats, fish, lasagne, curry and vegetables. A floor this size leaves room for a cast iron dish at the side while pizzas bake in the front.
What comes with the oven
The Classico arrives with a door, a chimney with an air damper, a thermometer, firebricks and a fireguard. The damper and door give you ways to hold heat for slower cooking after the pizzas are done.
External dimensions are 66 x 68 x 103 cm including the chimney. The oven is made in Portugal from stainless steel with a brushed finish, and this listing is the black version.
Weight and placement
With bricks in place it weighs 45 kg, dropping to 20 kg with them removed. That makes it movable, as the listing says, but it still needs a strong, level surface. A table rated well above 45 kg, or a dedicated stand, is a must.
Wood logs mean real flame and flavour, but also more tending than a gas oven, plus ash to clear when it has cooled.
Next to the 14 inch gas ovens
The Gino D'Acampo Carbonio and Modena are 14 inch gas ovens with 12 mm cordierite stones, built-in thermometers and folding legs at 18 kg each. They are simpler to run and carry, but bake one pizza at a time and state no top temperature. The Classico gives you double the throughput and stated 500°C heat in exchange for more weight and fuel work.
Verdict
The Igneus Classico suits families and regular hosts who want to bake two pizzas at once over wood and have a solid spot for a 45 kg oven. If you want lighter gas convenience for 14 inch pizzas, the Gino D'Acampo Carbonio or Modena are easier to live with. For a permanent brick oven, the 840 mm tiled brick model is the heavier step up.
