The Q Pizza gas oven from DOBADN keeps things deliberately simple. You unfold the legs, drop in the 13 inch stone, connect the supplied UK regulator to a bottle and light it. There is no turning mechanism, thermometer or carry case, which suits a buyer who wants a straightforward first gas oven and would rather learn the peel technique than pay for extras they may not use.

In its favour

  • Setup is quick according to the listing: unfold the legs, place the stone and connect a gas bottle.
  • A UK gas regulator comes in the box, along with the 13 inch stone.
  • The stone lifts out for cleaning, and the maker states pizzas take about 60 seconds.

Good to know

  • The stated 950°C is far above any other oven here, so treat that figure with caution.
  • No warranty, burner layout or dimensions are given in the listing.

Our take

What the listing claims

DOBADN says the oven is ready after 10 to 15 minutes and bakes a pizza in about 60 seconds. It also quotes a top temperature of 950°C, a figure far beyond every other portable oven on this site, which mostly claim 450 to 500°C. Read that number as a likely error rather than a real cooking temperature.

Ignition is instant from the gas control, and a dial adjusts the flame. The shell is described as powder-coated carbon steel in one bullet and stainless steel in the specification table, so the exact material is unclear.

Setup, cleaning and contents

The box contains the oven, the 13 inch stone and a UK gas regulator. You will need a peel, and probably a cover if it lives outdoors.

The stone lifts out, which makes it easier to brush off burnt flour and to dry the oven after a damp evening. The exterior just needs a wipe. Weight is listed at 14.2 kg, but no dimensions or warranty period appear anywhere in the listing.

Cooking more than pizza

DOBADN suggests roasting vegetables and baking bread as well as pizza, using the adjustable flame for lower heat. That is typical of small gas ovens, and a cast iron pan on the stone widens the options further.

Q Pizza against the Mimiuo and Ooni

The Mimiuo manual rotation gas oven also includes a UK regulator and a 13 inch stone, and adds a handle to turn the stone, a peel and a cover, at 15 kg. The renewed Ooni Koda 12 is a known design with a stated 15 minute warm up, but it ships without regulator or hose. The Q Pizza sits between them as a plain, ready-to-connect oven.

Verdict

The Q Pizza oven is for someone who wants the plainest route into gas pizza: a 13 inch stone, a UK regulator in the box and nothing more to set up. Ignore the 950°C claim and buy a peel. If you would like the stone to turn, the Mimiuo manual rotation oven is better equipped, and the renewed Ooni Koda 12 suits those who want a familiar name.
