Ninja Woodfire outdoor oven: electric, 370°C, 8 functions

The Ninja Woodfire is less a pizza oven and more an outdoor cooking station that happens to do pizza well. It runs on electricity, reaches 370°C, and offers eight functions from Pizza and Max Roast to Smoker and Dehydrate. Hardwood pellets add smoke flavour, but they are not the fuel. This bundle pairs the oven with a 900 g bag of Robust Blend pellets, so it suits a garden cook who wants year-round barbecue and pizza from one box.

In its favour

  • Eight functions including Pizza, Max Roast, Smoker and Dehydrate make it far more than a pizza oven.
  • Six pizza settings, including Artisan, New York and Deep Pan, with no turning needed according to Ninja.
  • This bundle adds a 900 g bag of Robust Blend hardwood pellets on top of the starter packs.

Good to know

  • The stated 370°C is well below gas ovens, and Ninja quotes under 3 minutes per pizza, not 60 seconds.
  • Needs mains power outdoors, and the listing does not state the oven's weight or dimensions.

Our take

Eight functions and six pizza settings

The functions are Pizza, Max Roast, Gourmet Roast, Top Heat, Bake, Smoker, Dehydrate and Keep Warm. Within Pizza there are Artisan, Thin, New York, Deep Pan, Calzone and Custom settings.

Ninja states pizzas cook in under 3 minutes at 370°C without turning, not counting preheat. That is slower than a 500°C gas oven, so this is not the tool for 60 second Neapolitan pies, but the steady electric heat makes results more predictable.

How the pellets work

Ninja's Woodfire pellets, made with Bear Mountain, are used only for flavour. A small scoop creates smoke for low and slow cooking or adds a smoky note to any function. The Robust Blend in this bundle mixes hickory, cherry, maple and oak, and Ninja suggests it for beef, pork and chicken. The oven also includes Robust and All-Purpose starter packs.

Capacity and power

Inside, Ninja says it fits a 5 kg beef joint, two racks of ribs, a traybake or a 12 inch pizza, and a pizza stone is included. The oven needs mains power, so plan for a weatherproof outdoor socket rather than an extension lead trailed across the lawn.

The listing does not give the weight, dimensions or warranty period, and a timer function is noted in the specifications. Colour is burnt orange.

How it compares

The Ninja Artisan is its smaller electric sibling, adding air fry and prove functions and a viewing window but no smoker. The Jamie Oliver by Tefal gas oven is far simpler, focused on pizza with a hand-turned stone. Choose the Woodfire if smoking and roasting matter as much as pizza.

Verdict

Pick the Ninja Woodfire outdoor oven if you want pizza, roasting and genuine hardwood smoke from one electric unit, and you have a safe outdoor socket. Pizza purists chasing 60 second bakes should choose a gas oven such as the Jamie Oliver by Tefal, and anyone needing a compact air fryer and pizza oven should look at the Ninja Artisan.
