The navy DeliVita Diavolo, model DEL-3002, is the same Yorkshire-designed gas oven as the other colours, so the decision is mostly about the bundle and how you will use it. For a British garden it makes a strong all-round case: nearly everything you need is in the box, the flame is controlled with a knob, and DeliVita backs it with a 5 year guarantee once registered. It is built for 12 inch pizza.

In its favour

  • Arrives with a folding peel, infrared temperature gun, carry case and regulator and hose, so little else is needed.
  • The listing states a 5 year guarantee on registration, longer than most ovens in this guide.
  • Comes with a camping regulator as well as a standard one, so it can run from camping gas away from home.

Good to know

  • The title gives 10.5 kg but the specs list 17.6 kg, so check the real weight before buying for travel.
  • The stated top temperature of 450°C is lower than the 500°C claimed by several rivals here.

Our take

Heat, timing and flame

DeliVita states 450°C after around 20 minutes and a 60 to 90 second bake for a 12 inch pizza. Several rivals claim 500°C, but the difference matters less than learning to read your stone, and that is where the bundled infrared temperature gun proves its worth.

Control is by knob according to the specifications. Use a lower flame for flatbreads and vegetables, which DeliVita also suggests cooking once the pizzas are done.

The bundle for a first oven

Inside the box are a folding peel, the infrared gun, a carry case, a standard gas regulator with hose and a camping regulator. For a first-time owner that saves working out which regulator fits a UK patio bottle, and the case keeps the oven clean in a shed over winter.

Footprint and the weight question

The oven measures 62 by 46 by 32 cm with its legs folded out. The weight is unclear, with 10.5 kg in the title and 17.6 kg in the specification table, so allow for the heavier figure when lifting it on and off a table.

The navy specification lists a side swing door style, while the other colours list a dropdown door, which is likely a data entry quirk. DeliVita notes the range comes in several colours, which is why more than one Diavolo appears on this site.

Outdoor rivals to weigh up

The renewed Ooni Koda 12 claims 500°C in 15 minutes but arrives without a regulator. The Gino D'Acampo Modena takes 14 inch pizzas and has a thermometer built in. The Mimiuo Tisserie G-Oven turns its stone automatically. The Diavolo wins on its bundle and its long guarantee.

Verdict

The navy DeliVita Diavolo is the right buy if you want a 12 inch gas oven that arrives complete, with a temperature gun to judge the stone and a 5 year guarantee. Choose the Gino D'Acampo Modena for bigger pizzas, or the Mimiuo Tisserie G-Oven if automatic turning matters more than the extras.
